Dutch III

This course is a continuation of Dutch II for Expats, Dutch II for International students and Dutch - Fast Track and takes you from CEFR level A2 to B1-minus. You further expand your knowledge of Dutch based on topics such as work, education, travel, and art. All skills (reading, listening, writing, and speaking) are dealt with, with a particular focus on interaction. You also give some short presentations on Dutch cultural topics in the broadest sense of the word.

Target group

International employees, students or external participants who have been learning Dutch until level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). If you have already taken a Dutch course but you are not sure about your level, take the level test. You can also contact the Student Desk.

Specifics

  • Because there are currently no COVID restrictions, the format for this course is entirely on campus. Should COVID restrictions (such as the 1.5 meter rule) be re-introduced, the Language Center may decide to change the format to an entirely or predominantly online course.
  • Since active participation is a key part of language skills courses, you need to able to interact with the group in a digital environment. Make sure you have a stable internet connection, working webcam and headset or microphone. See the recommended hardware requirements

  • 80% attendance is required. Lectures are not recorded for later viewing.

This course is intended for everyone who is highly educated. This means that you have a diploma at havo or vwo level and are therefore eligible to attend Higher Education in the Netherlands.
