Italian for beginners 2

This course is the continuation of Italian for beginners 1 and provides a broader foundation. All skills (listening, reading, speaking, and writing) are covered in roughly equal measure, but the emphasis is on oral communication.

Through playful group assignments, group discussions, and individual assignments, you will further expand your knowledge of Italian. Each lesson is enriched with aspects of daily life in Italy, such as eating habits, daily schedule, and culture.

By the end of the course, you will have reached level A2+ of the European Reference Framework. You will then be able to:

  • talk about your relationships with other people (such as family, friends, colleagues);
  • express surprise, emotions, and feelings;
  • conduct interactions with practical purposes, such as describing someone or something, describing a city/country in connection with a trip;
  • asking and giving permission to do something;
  • understand explanations, ask questions, and talk about a past experience such as a trip, and future plans;
  • give preferences, express opinions, and argue;
  • understand the differences and similarities between your own culture and that of Italy and make them comprehensible to others to facilitate communication.
