What is the QTEM program?

QTEM stands for Quantitative Techniques for Economics and Management, and was founded in 2012 by a group of leading universities and corporate partners. Its network, which by 2017 had 178 enrolled master students - is steadily growing.

The QTEM Program consist of:

  • 1 or 2 QTEM Exchanges
  • 1 professional internship of at least 240 hours
  • The QTEM Data Challenge

Upon completion students obtain the QTEM network certificate.

Participating Master's programs

All students enrolled in a Master's program at TiSEM are invited to apply. The program is also open to students of Data Science and Society (TSHD). The QTEM program is open to both national and international students.

Why would you participate?

There are several reasons why ambitious students should participate in the QTEM program:

  • Add academic courses to your current program to either deepen your knowledge of the field, or specialize in another one.
  • Available spots in this program worldwide are very limited, so you will be part of a very select group of wanted young talent.

Exchange experience of student Bastiaan Nabben

"As a European, I always wanted to discover a culture that was completely different from mine. I wanted to experience a big 'culture shock'.  Waseda University, located in Tokyo, was able to make this happen. My exchange offered a unique view on the amazing, open, friendly, crazy, but respectful culture of Japan. You will never have the same experience as a tourist. It is a privilege to be in QTEM during your exchange, you are connected to many academic and corporate partners.  Explore as much as you can and expand your network. QTEM offers you everything that is needed for your future, make the most out of it." -  Bastiaan Nabben
