FUNED Scholarship

Scholarship available for Mexican citizens, with a bachelor's degree, that have an unconditional offer for a Master or PhD.

About the FUNED Scholarship

Tilburg University has an agreement with the Fundacion Mexicana Para La Education, La Technologia y La Ciena, A.C.  (FUNED) to provide a joint scholarship.

FUNED aims to contribute to the professional growth of future Mexican leaders by supporting studies in Master's programs. They select the best programs in the world, with the aim of promoting the development of individuals and Mexico.

Who can apply?

Students must be a Mexican national, have achieved a GPA of 8.0 minimum of 10 point scale in their first degree program (i.e. Licenciatura) and hold a first degree Mexican ‘Titulo’.

How to apply?

Students in Mexico must first be admitted to Tilburg University and then they can submit an application to FUNED (no later than 90 days before leaving to study their masters). A detailed description of the application process (in Spanish) can be found at: funedmx.org/proceso

What are the benefits?

FUNED waives 40% of the total amount given as a loan, which is a maximum of up to US$ 12,000 for a two year program. The amount provided each prospective student will be based on the results of FUNED’s financial needs evaluation of the student, his or her repayment capability, and a personal interview. For Master’s programs, Tilburg University offers a 25% discount on tuition fees above €10,000.
