On arrival

One of the reasons for studying abroad is to experience another culture. Of course there is no better way to achieve this than to integrate with the local community and culture. To help you adapt to and thrive in your new environment, we will assist you from the moment you arrive.

Registration Days

Our International Office organizes special Registration Days for all new international students. You will receive useful information about studying at Tilburg University from your Admissions Officer or your Study Abroad & Exchange Team  and we help you arrange several practical matters, such as public transport, insurance,  opening a bank account or register for our introduction week.

Travel Assistance

During the Registration Days our Tilburg University Travel Assistance Team will welcome you at Schiphol or Eindhoven Airport and guide you to the train station near Tilburg University.

Money Matters

The ABN Amro bank will be present during the Registration Days. You can find information regarding financial matters on the webpage 'Money Matters'.

Introduction week

A good way to get to know Tilburg and Tilburg University is by participating in the introduction week called TOP Week, directly after the Registration Days. This week with all kinds of activities - social, cultural, sport, parties and so on - will give you the opportunity to find out more about how to organize your academic (and social!) life at Tilburg University. During TOP Week, you will be assigned to a buddy, who will help you find your way around. 

Buddy System

Tilburg University has set up a Buddy System to assist you with integrating as quickly as possible into your new environment.
