Online Registration Day: Spring 2021
During our online Registration Day on Friday January 22nd, we will welcome you and give you a number of online services to make sure you have a pleasant and a well prepared start in Tilburg. If you plan to travel to Tilburg in January, we advise you to arrive during this day in order to benefit from the travel assistance we offer as well (if corona measures permit).
What to expect?
Because of the current corona measures, we unfortunately are not able to organize the Registration Day in our regular format on campus. Therefore, the offered services are online and include live chats and online sessions via ZOOM. We also offer travel assistance to Tilburg when you arrive at Schiphol or Eindhoven airport.

Accommodation for international students
Finding accommodation is one of the most important things to arrange. Please note that we cannot guarantee housing, and it’s your own responsibility to find a room. All information and assistance regarding (temporary) housing for international students is provide by our Housing Office.

Money matters: opening a Dutch bank account
In order to assist you with opening a Dutch bank account, Tilburg University has made an agreement with ABN AMRO bank, which is one of the most popular banks in the Netherlands and is conveniently located in Tilburg. The Student Package offered by ABN AMRO is free of charge for international students.

Healthcare and liability insurance
When living in the Netherlands, you must, by law, have appropriate health insurance. We strongly recommend that you have the appropriate liability and travel insurance as well. Organizing these insurances is your own responsibility, but we have set out some guidelines and preferred partners.

With your student account, you can apply for the Tilburg University Card. You will need this card to make use of campus facilities and to identify yourself within Tilburg University. This card will also give you plenty of discounts and promotions in Tilburg!

Sports Center
The Sports Center has a wide range of sports, extensive indoor and outdoor accommodation, is located near the Tilburg University campus, has generous opening hours and is very convivial. Get your all-in sports membership and participate in any of the sports activities that the Sports Center offers.
