Erik-Jan Broers one of the finalists in national Teacher of the Year 2023 election
Erik-Jan Broers is a finalist of the national Teacher of the Year 2023 election. On Monday 24 April, he will be one of the four finalists to deliver a mini-lecture in the Stadsschouwburg Utrecht. A five-member jury will use this lecture to decide whether he walks away with the national title.
Focus on student development
Erik-Jan Broers competes against Birgit Boogaard (Wageningen University), Ed van Beeck (Erasmus University Rotterdam) and Jim Portegies (TU Eindhoven). The national election is organised by the ISO and the Comenius Network and aims to reflect on the importance of good teaching. This year, the focus of the election is on the stimulus a lecturer gives to the development of students.
Lecturer of the Year Tilburg University
In 2022, students proclaimed Erik-Jan Broers Teacher of the Year within Tilburg University. The Executive Board then nominated him for the national election.
