Watch this knowledge clip about the research of Tilburg University researchers Annerieke Stoop and Suzie Noten, in which they talk about their research on restrictive measures following COVID-19 outbreaks in nursing homes and the effect on residents, informal caregivers and volunteers.

The purpose of this study by is to gain insight into perceived loneliness and social needs of nursing home residents, loved ones and volunteers due to restrictive COVID-19 measures. In addition, insight into their resilience and how potential consequences can be minimized. Based on these results, the researchers will formulate recommendations for policy and care to minimize consequences for those affected.

The study is a collaboration between AWO Tranzo, UNO-UMCG and HIVA-KU Leuven.
