Tilburg University, 95 years interwoven with society
Tilburg University celebrates its 95th anniversary this year: a moment to celebrate and look back, but also to look ahead to our centenary in 2027. With a new strategy and new ambitions, based on time-honored core values in a new format: Curious, Caring, Connected, and Courageous.
In this special anniversary edition of Tilburg University Magazine, we zoom in on our ‘Connectedness’ with each other and with society. This interwovenness is rooted in the social thought of our founding fathers and has gained strength over the years, also as a mission for ourselves.
For instance, we focus on the co-creation of PhD researchers and the business sector, we report on public administration experts collaborating with various partners from the province in their quest of finding better ways to solve disputes, and we show how scientific collaboration with healthcare professionals and hospitals contributes to better patient outcomes. As the icing on the anniversary cake, you can read stories on ultimate connection: loves and friendships for life that began at university.
