Bio

Ik ben Marco in 't Veld en als wetenschappelijk docent verbonden aan de Universiteit Tilburg. Het recht vind ik vooral interessant als het in verband wordt gebracht met andere disciplines. Daarom geef ik vakken als inleiding rechtswetenschap en rechtsfilosofie. Mijn onderzoek richt zich vooral op de rechtsgeschiedenis. Ik schreef een proefschrift over gewoonten in het handelsrecht te Amsterdam en Lyon (begin 18e eeuw). Hier vertel ik meer over de resultaten van dit onderzoek. Tegenwoordig houd ik me vooral bezig met de relatie tussen vroegmoderne instituties, handel, recht en de rechtsstaat.
