Bio

Jean-Jacques Herings is hoogleraar Kwantitative Micro-economie bij de vakgroep Econometrie & OR. Zijn onderzoek richt zicht op vijf gebieden: Coöperatieve speltheorie, niet-coöperatieve speltheorie, netwerken, algemeen evenwichtstheorie, en evenwichtsberekening. Hij heeft een groot aantal beurzen mogen ontvangen, waaronder de prestigieuze VICI-beurs van NWO. Zijn werk is bekroond met de Johannes Cornelis Ruigrok Prijs in 1997 en de Lionel W. McKenzie Prize in 2008. Hij is nauw betrokken bij de Game Theory Society, als lid van de Council van 2011 tot 2017, als fellow sinds 2017, en als secretaris en penningmeester van 2014 tot 2022. In 2019 is hij benoemd als fellow van de Society for the Advancement of Economic Theory. Hij heeft in tal van toonaangevende tijdschriften in zijn vakgebied gepubliceerd, waaronder Econometrica, Journal of Economic Theory, Management Science, en Mathematics of Operations Research.
