I investigate the interrelatedness, predictive abilities as well as the influence of sex and gender in cardiac risk factors among patients with ischemic heart disease by making use of a wide variety of novel statistical methods (e.g., latent profile analysis, network modeling, structural equation modeling), qualitative research methods and assessment techniques. Furthermore, we are currently implementing a previously validated multidimensional psychosocial screener at the department of cardiology at the Elisabeth-TweeSteden Hospital. With these efforts I aim to improve tailored secondary prevention and health outcomes.

In addition to my doctoral project, I am also examining how Long COVID symptoms cluster and how several factors predict these symptom clusters.
