“Why I chose the Master’s program of Marketing Analytics? First of all I have to admit that I never thought I would decide to study marketing analytics, as I do not consider myself a natural talent at statistics. However, in order to be admitted to the Marketing Management Master (which I took before this Master), I had to take obligatory courses in marketing research. The teachers showed me the value of data in the marketing process. Working in teams with other students also motivated me to continue in this field: they helped me understand difficult research techniques and encouraged me to persevere. Last but not least, the use of (big) data is gaining importance in the marketing field and companies are looking for academic professionals who can analyze data and give managerial advice based on the findings. I believe that marketing research can improve my career perspectives"

Why did you choose Tilburg University?

My friends told me about the excellent education at TiU. Moreover, the Master of Marketing Analytics is unique in the Netherlands and it was convenient for me that Tilburg is relatively near to Helmond, where I work.

What is special about the program?

The techniques that you learn are practically applicable. In my first job as a research project manager, I successfully applied several of them. Even though the subjects are mainly focused on quantitative techniques, it is possible to specialize in experimental research as well. The program also promotes teamwork.

What do you think about the Tilburg University Campus and facilities?

The buildings are very close to each other, so you often run into fellow students. The catering facilities have improved over the years and are good. I especially like the TiU app, where you can check the availability of computers on campus so you never have to wait to get one.

Very good, the program is challenging and you really feel like you are learning useful things. I specifically value the teachers. Besides a high standard of education they challenge you and are always willing to help.

What do you think of Tilburg city?

Even though Tilburg is relatively small, the city centre offers some good bars. For shopping I'd rather go to Eindhoven.
