This is the national application and admission procedure for the (pre-)Master's program in Organization Studies.

a) Check your eligibility

Students of Tilburg University

Bachelor’s students of Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences

The following TSB Bachelor's make you eligible to the Master's program:

  • Organization Studies (Organisatiewetenschappen)
  • Global Management of Social Issues
  • Another TSB Bachelor's program, provided that the minor in Organization Studies has been completed.

Bachelor’s students of the Tilburg School of Economics and Management

Admission is possible if you have successfully completed one of the Bachelor’s programs at the Tilburg School of Economics and Management (TiSEM), for example Business Economics (Bedrijfseconomie) or International Business Administration, as long as you have sufficient knowledge of

  • qualitative and quantitative research methods and statistics
  • relevant subjects in organization theory, management and the sociology of organizations and/or organization psychology

You can apply by registering in Studielink. Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis. Should you fail to meet all the prerequisites for admission to the Master's program, you may be able to make up this so-called deficit by taking an individual pre-Master's program.

Bachelor’s students of University College Tilburg

You are eligible for admission as long as you have successfully completed the Bachelor’s program Liberal Arts and Sciences with the major in Social Sciences: Human Behavior or the major in Business and Economics

This Master's program may be of interest to students with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the areas of economics, political science, management, sociology and psychology.

To start with the program you should have the following prior knowledge:

  • Knowledge of relevant subjects in organization theory, management and the sociology of organizations and/or organization psychology.
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods and statistics

Students of a Dutch university of applied sciences (hbo)

You may qualify for the one-year pre-Master's program in Organization Studies.

  • If you have completed the pre-Master’s program in Organization Studies successfully and have passed all the exams (60 ECTS), you are automatically admitted to the Master's program in Organization Studies. 
  • By finishing the pre-Master’s program in Organization Studies, you will also be able to enroll for the Master's track Organizing for Global Social Challenges starting in the fall semester (end of August) of the subsequent academic year.

You are directly eligible for admission to the Master’s program in Organization Studies as long as you have successfully completed the academic Bachelor’s program Leisure Studies at Breda University of Applied Sciences, including the minor in Organization Studies.

You are directly eligible for admission to the Master’s program in Organization Studies when you have successfully completed one of the following hbo Bachelor’s programs of the Convenant program:

b) Consider the deadline

This (pre-)Master's program starts end of August. You must register in Studielink before August 1.

c) Follow the procedure for national applicants

Step 1: Register in Studielink

After you have registered in Studielink, the program's Admissions Committee will assess whether your previous education is a sufficient fit with this program to be admitted. Studielink opens on October 1.

Register in Studielink

Enter an e-mail address in Studielink that you use regularly. Tilburg University will use this e-mail address to send you important information on your application and admission.

Step 2: Admissions Committee's decision

The Admissions Committee assesses whether your degree qualifies you for admission to this (pre-)Master's program on a case-by-case basis.

You will receive the decision of the Admissions Committee by e-mail. In general, we aim to assess your application within six weeks.

There are three possibilities:

  • (Conditionally) accepted to the Master's program
    If you are conditionally accepted, this means that you are admitted to our Master's program (on the condition that we request additional information).

  • (Conditionally) accepted to the pre-Master's program
    It is possible that you do not completely fulfill the requirements for the Master’s program. If this is the case, we may offer you a pre-Master's program to prepare you for the Master's program.

  • Rejected
    If you do not fulfill the admission requirements, your application will be rejected. We will e-mail you personally the reasons for the rejection.

Let's walk you through the next steps:

  • Complete your enrollment and pay your tuition fees
    Please check your enrollment status and any to-do items that may still be pending in OSIRIS Student. You can use your login details for Tilburg University’s computer network to access OSIRIS Student.
  • Arrange practical matters
    Before you can start your studies, there are a number of practical matters to take care of, such as registering for courses, and if necessary, arranging housing.
  • Participate in orientation activities
    • As an incoming student you can participate in the TOP Week: a social, practical and creative introduction week for all new students who are enrolled in one of the higher education institutions in Tilburg. The TOP Week takes place the week before the start of the academic year.
    • Besides the TOP Week, there is also an official program introduction organized by your study program. During the Program Introduction, you will receive all the information you need to get off to a good start with your new study. You will meet the education coordinator, the program director and your fellow students. Participation is mandatory.
