It is not possible to follow a pre-Master's program in order to acquire admission to the Master's program.

The only exception applies to students who follow the so-called connecting (convenant) program during their studies at Fontys Toegepaste Psychologie (Eindhoven).

  • If you are directly admissible with your Bachelor's-, or convenant’s program, you only need to register in Studielink . Please continue to Step 3: Admissions Committee's decision.

In all other cases, you must continue your application in OSIRIS Aanmeld, our online application system, after you have registered in Studielink.

Within 1 week of your registration in Studielink, you will receive two e-mails from Tilburg University.

  • One e-mail contains your Tilburg University account details (your student number and Tilburg University e-mail address). You will not need these details for your application, but please save them carefully, as you will need them at a later stage.
  • The other e-mail contains your OSIRIS Aanmeld account details as well as information on how you can start your application in OSIRIS Aanmeld. If you have not received this e-mail within 1 week of your registration in Studielink, please contact the Admissions Committee via toelatingenprema-matsb@tilburguniversity.edu.

You will receive the decision of the Admissions Committee by e-mail. In general, we aim to assess your application within six weeks.

There are three possibilities:

  • (Conditionally) accepted to the Master's program

  • (Conditionally) accepted to the pre-Master's program
It is possible that you do not completely fulfill the requirements. If this is the case, we may offer you an individual pre-Master's program to prepare you for the Master's program, provided that you send the originals or certified copies of your documents.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How can I best fill in the course list and can I get help with it?

At first sight it may seem difficult to fill in the course list, however it is something you really need to do yourself. Read the points of attention and tips on the course list carefully. It is not possible to get help from us in filling in the course list. Only by submitting an application for admission to the Master's program will you be able to obtain a definite answer about your admissibility on the basis of your previous education.

How can I qualify for an individual pre-Master's program?

For students who not completely fulfill the requirements for the Master’s program, there may be the option to get a so-called individual pre-Master's program. However, this is only possible when there are not too many deficiencies in your previous education and the program to be followed does not exceed 60 ECTS.

To get an indication of your potential deficiencies, you can fill in the course list, which you find under Check your admissibility. In case - on the basis of your completed course list - you think you might be eligible for an individual pre-Master's program (so the gap of subjects to be followed is not greater than 60 ECTS), follow the steps of the application procedure by registering via Studielink.

This will set the admission procedure in motion. Based on the information you provide (including a completed course list), your request will be assessed to decide whether you can actually qualify for an individual pre-Master's program.

Note: For students with a Bachelor's degree of a Dutch university of applied sciences (hbo) there is no option to apply for an individual pre-Master's program.

What can I expect after I have registered in Studielink?

With your registration in Studielink you have started the admission procedure.

  • For Tilburg University bachelor's degree students who are directly eligible (see: Check your eligibility), it is sufficient to register via Studielink. You will not receive an e-mail or confirmation from the Admission Committee. If you meet all admission requirements, your admission to the master's program will be processed automatically after completion of your Bachelor's program.
  • For all other students, the Admissions Board will assess the application on an individual basis. This means that in most cases you will have to provide additional information regarding your previous education (e.g., a completed course list). You will receive an e-mail from the Admissions Board indicating which documents you have to submit, how and when you have to do so.

Note: Do you want to apply with a diploma from a non-Dutch educational institution, including those in Belgium and the Dutch Caribbean? Follow the international procedure of Economic Psychology or Work and Organizational Psychology

If I apply for admission, do I still have time to think about whether I will actually start with this master's program?

When you submit your request for admission (via registration in Studielink), you are not yet definitively committed to anything. Based on your request, you will eventually receive a decision from the Admissions Committee. If you are admitted, it is up to you to decide whether you will definitely start the Master's program.

Only when you - after getting the decision on your eligibility - complete your enrolment in the master’s program, it will become definite. You still have until the summer (July/early August) to decide whether you will actually start with the Master's program at Tilburg University.

Do you have any questions?

Please feel free to contact us for your personal queries. You can contact us on every page of the Master's website.
