Allison Bramwell visiting scholar at TiREG

Dr. Allison Bramwell is an assistant professor in the department of Political Science of the University of North Carolina. She is studying the dynamics of economic transformation in medium-sized manufacturing cities undergoing restructuring in Canada, the United States, France, and the Netherlands as part of a project funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada under the Creating Digital Opportunity Project.

She is interested in learning more about efforts in Tilburg and in the broader region to encourage knowledge-intensive, 'digital economy', or 'smart manufacturing' activities, as well as policies and programs intended to include a broader range of people in these new economic opportunities.  In particular, she would like to learn more about who from the public and private sectors are involved in these activities and how they interact to shape urban development in the region.

Allison will be in Tilburg from May 23 to June 15 and is available during this period for meetings. Please let us know whether you intend to arrange a meeting with her by sending an e-mail to tireg@tilburguniversity.edu.
