Bio

Dr. Lars de Vroege is a scientist-practitioner combining his position as mental health psychologist (GZ-psycholoog) at an specialized mental health centre for psychosomatics (https://www.ggzbreburg.nl/centra/topklinisch-centrum-lichaam-geest-en-gezondheid/) with his work as senior researcher at Tranzo, Centre for Care and Wellbeing at the Tilburg University. He studied Cognitive neuropsychology (William James Graduate School) and Clinical Neuropsychology (Vrije Universiteit) and completed his training as mental health psychologist at RINO Zuid (2019). He obtained his PhD in 2018 on the diagnostic assessment and clinical characteristics of patients with somatic symptom and related disorders.

Expertise

His current work focuses on clinical characteristics of patients with somatic symptom and related disorders. Specifically, he focuses on cognitive functioning in patients with somatic symptom and related disorders and factors that may influence cognitive functioning.
