dr. Tim Reeskens

Bio

Tim Reeskens is Universitair Hoofddocent aan het Departement Sociologie van Tilburg University. Zijn doctoraat heeft hij aan de KU Leuven behaald op een onderzoek naar de relatie tussen etnisch-culturele diversiteit en sociale cohesie. Hij heeft onderzoeksfuncties bekleed aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam, de KU Leuven, en Tilburg University, en gastposities aan Harvard University en American University. Zijn onderzoeksinteresse gaat uit naar de vergelijkende studie van politieke en sociale attitudes, met een focus op sociaal kapitaal en veralgemeend vertrouwen, nationale identiteit, en attitudes tegenover de verzorgingsstaat. Momenteel is hij de nationale coördinator van de European Values Study en als dusdanig verantwoordelijk voor de recente dataverzameling in Nederland.
