The following overview of activities consists of recurring activities of the Competence Centre for Pension Research (CCP). Updates about these activities or new activities are placed in the news section.
On Friday December 9th, 2016 almost two hundred participants gathered in the Auditorium of Tilburg University for the twelfth edition of the Pension-Seminar. The theme of this edition was ‘A sustainable pension needs more than a system change’. The sustainability of the pension system and other current subjects were discussed by speakers such as Bert Farmer (De Nederlandsche Bank), Casper van Ewijk (Tilburg University/ Netspar), Christiaan Hertogh (ABN AMRO Bank), Bastiaan Starink (Tilburg University/ Netspar /PwC ) and Wim Koeleman (PwC).
The PwC Pension-seminar 2017 took place on December 7th, 2017.
PhD meeting on pensions
On June 23rd, 2016 the first edition of the PhD meeting on pensions was held at Maastricht University. The PhD meeting on pensions is an initiative of Maastricht University and Tilburg University and seeks to bring together PhD students and academic staff with a research focus on pensions and pension related topics.
The focus of this meeting was to stimulate the multidisciplinary research on pensions and the collaboration between the various disciplines. In addition, the participants got the opportunity to expand their network, pitch their research and exchange feedback during the meeting’s pitches and workshops. With about twenty participants in various pension-related research areas, we look back at a successful first edition.
