AI Forward Forum: Computational Psychology

Date: Time: 17:00 Location: Online

What is necessary to build socially aware machines that can interact with humans naturally? Despite recent advances in artificial intelligence (AI), this is still one of the most difficult questions to answer. Interestingly, while this is also the question that is often posed to computer scientists, it is seldom addressed to specialists in other fields.

Are you an anthropologist, a sociologist, a psychologist, a biologist, an artist, you name it... willing to think afresh about how truly intelligent systems can be achieved?

Then, join this event organized by AI Forward Forum. The second session of the Forum features a talk given by Professor Rachael E. Jack (University of Glasgow). The talk will address reasons why it is important for socially interactive agents to have faces and the novel data-driven methods to generate facial expressions.
