Assistant Professor (TSHD)Machine Translation, Natural Language Processing, Gender
Eva Vanmassenhove is Assistant Professor in the Department of Cognitive Science and A. I. at Tilburg University who obtained her PhD from Dublin City University, Ireland. She works on the integration of linguistic features into Neural Machine Translation (NMT), focusing recently on issues related to gender bias and the loss of diversity in language due to statistical/algorithmic bias.

Patricia Prüfer
Researcher (TiSEM)Social Cohesion, Experimental Economics, Applied Econometrics
Patricia Prüfer is group leader of Data Science at CentERdata. The team develops new techniques and methods in the field of data science and applies them to create new insights to turn data into (social) value. In her research Patricia combines substantive knowledge of (educational) economics, the (educational) labor market, behavioral economics and data science with well thought-out experimental research designs and advanced data analysis techniques.

Max Louwerse
Professor (TSHD)Language Psychology, Cognitive Processes, Computer Linguistics
Max Louwerse is Professor in Cognitive Psychology and Artificial Intelligence in the Department of Cognitive Science & Artificial Intelligence at Tilburg University. He received his PhD in Linguistics (University of Edinburgh) and worked at the University of Memphis as Full Professor in the Department of Psychology and the Institute for Intelligent Systems (IIS), and served as Director of the IIS.
