Covenant multi-year cooperation in education and research on family firms
12th September 2022On September 2, Brabantse Familiebedrijven Genootschap (BFBG) and Tilburg Institute for Family Business (TiFB, Tilburg University) signed a covenant establishing a long-term cooperation. The aim of the collaboration is to safeguard and strengthen the continuity of family firms in and outside Noord-Brabant.

Tilburg University and PwC continue collaboration in Tilburg Institute for Family Business
08th March 2022Tilburg University and PwC continue their collaboration as part of the Tilburg Institute for Family Business and will work together in education and research on broad themes concerning family-owned businesses. The contract was signed on February 23, 2022. In the next five years, the institute will continue to build on the solid foundation laid over the past five years.

Challenges in family business succession: the father-daughter transmission
14th December 2020Within the field of family businesses, there is little studies on female succession. However, it deserves to be studied since these women often face obstacles in family businesses simply because of their gender. There are some disparities between males and females concerning the transmission of family businesses. Women are actually essential elements in family businesses. Female management helps create a positive atmosphere in the workplace and thereby improves employee’s morale (Vadnjal & Zupan, 2009).
