Education Tilburg Institute of Governance

At Tilburg Institute of Governance we believe that the goal of education is to prepare our students for their (professional) future. We provide them with all the knowledge and tools we deem necessary for their career.

This means that we do not only provide our students with the expert knowledge, but also with a set of (soft) skills. Throughout the academic year students focus mainly on academic skills and expert knowledge. But at TIG we also believe the so called “soft” skills are an important addition to students' expert knowledge on governance. We provide attractive and innovative ways of implementing the development of these skills in the curriculum. Having developed these skills and being able to point out their strengths and weaknesses gives them an advantage in the competitive job market. Furthermore, there are 2 student mentors/coaches available to all students in guiding them through their academic endeavours. Among other things they provide students with coaching in study skills, study challenges and preparing for their professional future.
