FTC v Qualcomm Case
In August 2020, the US Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals reversed the Federal Trade Commission’s win at the district court level challenging Qualcomm’s licensing practices for its standard essential patents. The case addresses important questions about US antitrust principles and issues at the interface between antitrust and standard-setting. Inge and Alex will present the legal controversies that arise from the appeal and will put the case in context of EU competition law.
