Visiting Fellowship

Visiting Fellowship

The Tilburg Center for Logic, Ethics, and Philosophy of Science (TiLPS) invites applications for visiting fellowships for the calendar year 2018. Short visits of several weeks are also possible; however, we encourage applicants to stay for a longer period.

Notabene: If you require a visa for traveling to the Netherlands (as most non-EU nationals do), the fellowship will be restricted to a maximum of 90 days. See the Government website for details.

The fellowships are intended for advanced Ph.D. students, postdocs or faculty.

Applicants should be keen on being an active part of a lively research community and on intellectual exchange with the resident fellows of TiLPS. The work of the candidates should relate to philosophy of science, epistemology, logic, philosophy of cognitive science, moral psychology, ethics, or political philosophy. They should be committed to interdisciplinary and collaborative work, in line with the overall profile of TiLPS.

TiLPS sustains a full calendar of research events, such as regular seminars, workshops and conferences.

Travel and housing expenses can be reimbursed up to an amount of € 750 per month, with a maximum of € 2.000 for the total stay.

To apply, please send your application (everything in one pdf file) to TiLPS no later than 5 February 2018. We will notify you about our decision by 19 February. The application should contain a one- or two-page motivation letter, a CV, and a project outline of no more than 1000 words. Graduate students should include a letter of recommendation from their supervisor.
