Bio

I joined Tilburg School of Social & Behavioral Sciences (TSB) in 2021 as dean. Prior to TSB I was vice dean education at the Erasmus School of Health Policy and Management (ESHPM) and professor in sociology of innovation. In Rotterdam I built the international joint degree master program in health economics and management. My research focuses on digital health care. Together with healthcare providers, policy makers, engineers and businesses, I studied the development of big data in healthcare in Europe.  I am a graduate of Health Sciences at Maastricht University, where I majored in governance studies and technology studies. I now live in Utrecht. In summertime you can find me in Friesland.
