Bio

I am a PhD candidate at Tilburg University, Department of Economics. I obtained both my Bachelor Economics and Business Economics (2014-2017) and Research Master Economics (2017-2019) from the same university. In my research I focus on the Dutch welfare state together with my supervisors prof. dr. D.J. Van Vuuren (TiU) and prof. dr. M.G. Knoef (Leiden University).  Although the Dutch welfare state is in general quite generous, it does not mean that this holds for all groups in society. More precisely, the Dutch welfare state may be too generous for groups that are perfectly able to insure themselves and fall short for others. By making use of Dutch Microdata, I try to identify for which groups this is the case. My expected graduation date is June 2023.

Collaboration

My research is partially financed by Instituut GAK.
