Bio

I am a legal and political philosopher, associated with the Department of Public Law and Governance at Tilburg Law School.

After having completed my PhD at the Radboud University, I pursued my postdoctoral research at Leiden University and the Hoover Chair (University of Louvain). I joined the Tilburg Law School in 2020.

I have enjoyed  visiting positions at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Pennsylvania and the UC Berkeley School of Law.

My main research interests lie in the philosophy of human rights, applied ethics (regarding whistleblowing especially), Kant's practical philosophy, and the public interest/common good.

Additionally, I am the co-convener of the Study Group Political Philosophy of the Dutch Research School of Philosophy and board member of the Association of Ethicists in the Netherlands / Vereniging van Ethici in Nederland (VvEN) .
