Bio

Hans-Georg van Liempd has been the Secretary of the University since February 2021. In this role he acts also as Director of University Services and Director of Executive Services.

In the past I held various position at Tilburg University such as Managing Director at the Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences (TSB, 2014-2021), director International Office (2006-2010), Senior Programme Manager ánd I served as (vice-) President of the European Association for International Education (EAIE, 2010-2014) and various interim roles, Director of  the Strategy & Policy Departement (2014), interim Director Student Services (Spring 2016), interim Managing Director Law School (Fall 2017), interim Managing Director School of Humanities and Digital Sciences (Spring 2020). 

Expertise

In the past I have been senior EAIE Trainer on (Implementing an) Internationalisation Strategy for many years. In this role as expert on Internationalisation of HE and strategy, I am frequently invited to speak at institutions and conferences, most recently in India, Israel, Colombia, Romania, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Belgium, Denmark, Finland and the Netherlands.

Furthermore, I am a member of several Supervisory Boards in the area of culture, health and education in the Netherlands and abroad.
