Bio

Juliana de Augustinis is a PhD candidate at Tilburg Law School in the Sectorplan Project “Judicial law-making in a globalizing legal order: Rationalization, participation and the role of scientific evidence”, funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, and member of the Transformative Effects of Globalization in Law research project, a collaboration between law faculties in the Netherlands. Her main research interests concern constitutional and administrative law, public interest litigation, comparative approaches, and empirical legal studies. Previously, she worked as a Junior Researcher at the Netherlands Institute for the Study of Crime and Law Enforcement and as a consumer lawyer. Juliana was granted the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam scholarship in the International Technology Law LLM programme, graduated cum laude, and was awarded the runner-up prize for the Best 2020 Thesis by the Dutch Association of Constitutional Law.
