Bio

In 2009, I graduated cum laude with a master degree in Pedagogy (specialized in Learning and Development) from the Radboud University. After obtaining my master’s degree, I started working as a child psychologist at Mytylschool Roosendaal. In addition, I started working as a research assistant at the lectureship Support for People with an Intellectual Disability of the HAN University of Applied Sciences and as a teacher at Radboud University. As of September 2011, I started as a science practitioner at Dichterbij from where I started my PhD research at the Academic Collaborative Centre Living with an Intellectual Disability (AWVB) at Tranzo, Tilburg University (supervisors: prof. P.J.C.M. Embregts and prof. C. Schuengel). I defended my dissertation "Motivation, well-being, and living with a mild intellectual disability: A Self-Determination Theory perspective" on 17 March 2017. Currently, I am working as a postdoc researcher at the (AWVB).
