Bio

Dr. Evelyn Wan is a postdoctoral researcher in the ERC-funded project "Understanding information for legal protection of people against information-induced harms?" (ERC-2016-StG-716971 INFO-LEG ) . She graduated cum laude from her PhD programme at Utrecht University with her dissertation, "Clocked!: Time and Biopower in the Age of Algorithms", which was also awarded a national dissertation prize by the Praemium Erasmianum Foundation in the Netherlands. Her work on the temporalities and politics of digital culture and algorithmic governance is interdisciplinary in nature, and straddles media and performance studies, gender and postcolonial theory, and legal and policy research.
