Bio

Richard Janssen obtained his doctorate in 1989 for his research on the impact of time prices on use of healthcare facilities at Maastricht University. Following this, he occupied the position of director at various healthcare organisations, including Mondriaan and Altrecht. He lectures on market dynamics and strategic administrative issues in the healthcare sector and he also carries out research in these fields.

In Addition Professor Richard Janssen occupied the ‘Governance and Management of Healthcare Organisations’ Chair as Endowed Professor on behalf of the Dutch Association of Healthcare Executives (NVZD) at Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management at Erasmus University Rotterdam from 2016  to 2020.

As an expert he advices the Ministriy and the National Health Authorities like NZA, ZonMw.
