ir. Simone Balvers

Bio

Simone Balvers is a PhD candidate in the School of Economics and Management at Tilburg University. She investigates retail operations in emerging markets, through experiments and econometric techniques. Simone is supervised by Prof. Dr. ir. Jan Fransoo and Dr. Eirini Spiliotopoulou and is expected to graduate in 2025. Her research is funded by the Dutch Research Council (NWO).

Prior to starting her PhD in September 2021 at Tilburg University, Simone obtained a master's degree in Operations Management and Logistics and a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, both from the Eindhoven University of Technology.
