Bio

My research focuses on inter-organizational events and meetings such as conferences and trade-fairs. I investigate how such events affect innovation, knowledge exchange, inter-personal and inter-organizational collaboration and networks. Using data mining techniques I collect and analyze large amount of structured and unstructured archival documents (i.e., patents, publications and conference programs). I use network analysis and advanced statistical methods to estimate the effect of events for individuals, companies, regions and industries.
