Students Tilburg University

Complete your enrollment

You are now registered in Studielink and your details have been forwarded to Tilburg University. There are just a few steps to take before the Student Administration of Tilburg University can complete your enrollment. Your enrollment will be finalized after completing Step 5.

The Student Administration will communicate with you a number of times about your enrollment, using the e-mail address you provided when registering in Studielink.

Step 1: Message about your Tilburg University account

Once you have registered in Studielink for the new academic year, your data will be forwarded to Tilburg University. If you are a new student enrolling for the first time at Tilburg University, you will receive an e-mail from our Library and IT Services containing the log-in information for your Tilburg University account. This e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you have indicated in Studielink. Students who (re-)enroll after a break will also receive this e-mail. It will include your:

  • Student number.
  • Username.
  • Tilburg University e-mail address.
  • Information on where to go  with any questions about accessing the university’s computer network.

Please read this information carefully.

PLEASE NOTE! The enrollment process has not yet been finalized when you receive this e-mail. The information on this page will assist you in completing your enrollment.

Re-enrollment

Students who re-enroll at Tilburg University (even if they enroll for another program) keep the same login information. They will not receive a separate e-mail with log-in details.

Step 2: Check the status of your enrollment

You can check your enrollment status in OSIRIS Student. You can access OSIRIS Student with your Tilburg University account (see step 1) and see which items are still pending.

You can find more information on the 'To Do' items that may appear in OSIRIS Student.

Check your To Do list in OSIRIS Student

Step 3: Message about payment of tuition / weighted fees

After you have registered in Studielink and Tilburg University has received your (new) information, the university will send you an e-mail concerning the tuition / weighted fees payment. Tilburg University will send this e-mail mid-June at the earliest to the e-mail address you have indicated in Studielink.

Step 4: Submit Proof of Tuition Fee Payment (BBC)

(Does not apply in all cases)

If you want to enroll at two higher education institutions in the Netherlands and the statutory rate applies to you in both instances, you may only have to pay the tuition fee once.

Payment to another institution

If you are registered at another accredited Dutch WO or HBO institution for higher education and if you have paid the statutory tuition fee there, you may be exempted from payment of tuition at Tilburg University if you also pay the statutory tuition fee at Tilburg University.

Please indicate (when possible and applicable) via Studielink that you wish to pay at Tilburg University using a BBC ( this is possible from mid June onwards). It may only be possible to apply for and forward a digital copy of the BBC in Studielink depending on whether the other educational institution supports this. From mid June it will be possible to enter your (BBC) payment details in Studielink, about which you will be informed once it is possible.

If the other educational institution does not support this, you will request the BBC outside of Studielink from the educational institution where you have already paid tuition fees. The educational institution will send the BBC directly to Tilburg University. You can then indicate via Studielink that you will pay by means of a BBC from another institution. After receiving the BBC your tuition fees will be settled with the amount on your BBC.

Payment to Tilburg University

If you pay tuition fees to Tilburg University, you might be able to pay at the other educational institution via a digital BBC request via Studielink (at the payment option at the other institution). If this is not supported, you can request a BBC online once all registration requirements have been met and you have received your enrollment certificate. The BBC will be sent directly to the other Dutch WO or HBO institution.

Step 5: Enrollment Certificate

Once you have completed the entire enrollment process (including payment of tuition / weighted fees), you will receive an Enrollment Certificate by e-mail at the e-mail address you have indicated in Studielink. You will then officially be enrolled at Tilburg University. You will receive a separate Enrollment Certificate for each academic year and for each program,  after all enrollment requirements have been met.

If you have completed the entire enrollment process before September / February 1, and have not received your Enrollment Certificate by e-mail by mid-September / mid-February, please contact the Student Desk.

Note for applicants for our pre-Master’s programs

Pre-Master’s students do not get an Enrollment Certificate but will instead receive an e-mail to confirm the completion of their enrollment process.
