Alumni Startup Night
The first joint Alumni Startup Night for alumni of Tilburg University and Eindhoven University of Technology will take place on April 3. Are you an entrepreneur or is your company looking to connect with startups? Do you want to share your knowledge about entrepreneurship with a new generation? Then come to the Alumni Startup Night to connect, share knowledge and experiences, network and support the new generation of entrepreneurs.
Connecting, sharing knowledge and experiences, networking and supporting the new generation of entrepreneurs. Those are the ingredients of the Startup Night. The foundations for many successful technological companies and products were laid by our former students. On April 3, 2023, starting at 18:00, alumni of both universities will take you on their journey from student to successful entrepreneur.
Who is this event for?
For you, if you work at a company or have your own business that seeks collaboration in innovation. If you want to share your knowledge about entrepreneurship with a new generation. Or if you want to be inspired by these extraordinary people and their experiences.

Gain knowledge and expand your network
After the opening by the Board members of the Eindhoven University of Technology and Tilburg University, respectively Frank Baaijens and Wim van de Donk, you will hear inspiring stories and experiences from among others Boudewijn Docter and Martijn Ildiz, the founders behind EFFECT Photonics and IM Efficiency. Companies whose adventures and successes began on our campus. Discover examples of collaborations that made a difference or caused a breakthrough. Furthermore, Ewit Roos from Photon Delta will share his story about the ecosystem of the Integrated Photonics.
During the Eindhoven University of Technology and Tilburg University Startup Night, you may discover the partner that will help your own idea, company or organization move forward. Or you, with your knowledge or your contacts, will help write the next success story. Of course, there will be plenty of time to network during the networking part.
We close the program with a panel conversation regarding challenges and opportunities in the field of startups and scale ups. Our guests will be Pleuni Hooijman from Innovation Industries, Sonja Vos-Poppelaars managing director Eindhoven University of Technology participations, Michiel Besters director of Tilburg University IQONIC, Boudewijn Docter, Martijn Ildiz and Ewit Roos.
