Extracurricular activities are a great way to demonstrate your interests and individuality. They underline your commitment and the soft skills you developed. They make you unique, stand-out in the crowd, and really enrich your CV. Organizations are looking for applicants who were active and pursue interests in addition to their studies.
What are examples of extracurricular activities?
There are many extracurricular activities that you can undertake. What is your goal with the activity? Do you want to gain experience in a certain field? Gain specific skills? Enjoy the experience and develop yourself personally? Think about what type of activity fits you and think of the (paid) alternatives, such as side jobs or internships.
This list gives you an idea of the possibilities:
