The four-step process to find that job or internship that suits you
Step 1: Know yourself
The model above shows the four-step process that you can follow to prepare for your career. The most important part, is to start thinking about yourself.
Do you already have an idea of what you are looking for? What type of job suits you? What are you good at? What do you want?
If you do not know what you are looking for, it can be hard to find. Therefore, step one is determining what kind of job really suits you. If you know what you like and what you are good at, you can search for an internship more specifically and you can more easily motivate why you are the best candidate!
Step 2: Orientation
If you know what you are looking for, it is time to start researching the labor market and see what opportunities are out there. Find out what organizations and jobs appeal to you, check what kind of vacancies are available and start networking.
Step 3: Preparation
Step 4: Application
Have you found an interesting vacancy? Then it is time to apply! Write a professional cover letter and, if you get invited, make sure you prepare for the job interview.
