Course Talent and Career Development (Dutch Bachelors) - September 2023

In year two of the Dutch-language Bachelor's programs at TLS, you will complete the course Talent and Career Development.

During this program you learn to form a clear picture of yourself and you get to know your qualities and motives on the basis of a personal profile. Valuable insights, which will help you in your orientation on the labor market and your job profile. You will also learn how to present yourself (to future employers for example!) in your own Talent Pitch.

The course consists of several components:

Part 1: Training Talent Management

In this training you will work on your personal profile. You will examine who you are, what you're capable of, what you want and what is important to you. You find out what your competencies and qualities are and you learn all about the STARR method and how to use it.
After these trainings you will start writing a SWOT analysis. You will examine your Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats and draw up a personal development plan.
You can then sign up for an intervision session and/or a personal coaching session.

Part 2: Talent Pitch

Part 2 of the course is devoted to your own Talent Pitch. You learn how to build this pitch, what topics you should cover and how you can properly present yourself as a future lawyer or public administrator. You will also investigate where you can develop yourself further.
The final assignment is to make a video of your own pitch and receive feedback on it.
