TLS Career event: Fit for the Future
Take control of your future and come to the career event on February 18, exclusively for Tilburg Law School students. Find out everything about developments in the labor market and learn what you can do to prepare for your future career. The event is organized by Tilburg Law School in collaboration with TLS Career Services and study association Magister JFT. There will be no regular classes for TLS students during the event.
The labor market for legal experts and public administration experts is changing. Next to a thorough training in content skills, you will also need extra competencies where your personal development is concerned: soft skills, digital skills, and labor market skills. The event offers insights into these developments and gives you tips on how to prepare optimally for your future career.
Whether you are a freshman or a Master’s student, whether you study law or public administration, the tips you can pick up at this event will stand you in good stead in your future career. It is important in every phase of your studies that you think about and prepare for the future. The event will be bilingual.
Program on February 18
The plenary opening, focusing on important developments in the labor market, is followed by three rounds of - dozens of - workshops and presentations by law firms, government, recruiters, TLS alumni, TLS lecturers, and the business world.
Besides this, there will be an inspirational market, where you can have your CV/résumé checked, get personal tips on how to dress for success, or have your picture taken to put on your CV/résumé!
The event ends with a lecture by a special guest, Olympic speed skater Mark Tuitert, after which there will be drinks.
- 12:30 - 13:15 hrs. - Registration
- 13:15 - 14:15 hrs. - Plenary opening; Developments in the labor market
with keynote speakers Professor Ton Wilthagen and Professor Erik Vermeulen
- 14:30 - 17:00 hrs. – Three rounds of workshops/lectures including a break, at the inspiration market
- 17:15 - 18:00 hrs. – Plenary lecture by Mark Tuitert (Olympic speed skater)
- 18:00 - 19:00 hrs. – Drinks
