Tilburg University grants six field hockey scholarships

Each year Tilburg University offers a maximum of six field hockey scholarship to Tilburg University elite hockey players.

Students of Tilburg University that play hockey in the dutch Hoofdklasse can apply for the grant, which will be granted to the six students with the best academic and athletic results.

The grants for 2016-2017 have been awarded to:

  • Felix Gulinck (Bachelor Econometrics and Operational Research)
  • Michiel de Leeuw (Master Finance)
  • Tim Swaen (Master Sociology)

All three students play for HC TIlburg and have secured a spot in the Hoofdklasse for 2018 by finishing ninth in the league.

  • Laura Nunnink (Master International Management)
Plays for Oranje-Rood and the Dutch national team with whom she won the European Championships in 2017! Laura is also a Tilburg University Wall of Fame student.

  • Mark Rijkers (Master Marketing Management)
Plays for Oranje-Rood and was selected for the Dutch National Selection training group.

  • Willem Rath (Master Marketing Management)
Plays for Wassenaar, finished seventh in Hoofdklasse last season.
