NSE 2023 results have been released

Today, the results of the National Student Survey (NSE) 2023 have been published. The NSE is a large-scale national survey that is conducted every year among all students at universities and universities of applied sciences in the Netherlands. The NSE scores are based on a five-point scale (1 = very dissatisfied, 5 =very satisfied). Compared to last year, the average general satisfaction among students at Tilburg University has risen slightly from 3.86 to 3.87 on a five-point scale. However, this general satisfaction in Tilburg is a little lower than the national average among academic students (3.91).

Results per theme

Further analysis of the underlying NSE themes shows that Tilburg University students are most satisfied with gaining general skills (3.87), engagement and contact (3.84), gaining academic skills (3.81) and the content and organization of the program (3.81). Satisfaction with the connection to the professional practice (3.18) continues to rise but is still the most important focal point for Tilburg University. Average scores are also relatively low on the themes of international aspects (3.49) and reflection (3.45).

In total, 5,000 Tilburg University students participated in the NSE between January and March 2023 and thus provided the university with very valuable feedback. Tilburg University is very pleased with the strong commitment of its students and will use the results of the NSE to further increase student satisfaction.
