Application deadlines to go on exchange in 2023/24

The application window to apply to go on exchange in the 2023/24 academic year (Fall 2023 and Spring 2024) will open on 4 October 2022.

Application deadlines are on the dates named below at 11:00 hours.

Open for all applications for exchanges in the academic year 2023/24 (both Fall 2023 and Spring 2024).

Thursday 2 February 2023 at 11:00 hours 

Open for all applications for exchanges in the academic year 2023/24 (both Fall 2023 and Spring 2024).

This is the final deadline to apply for a Fall 2023 exchange through the ISEP program.

Thursday 30 March 2023 at 11:00 hours

Open for all applications for exchanges in the academic year 2023/24 (both Fall 2023 and Spring 2024).

This is the final deadline to apply for an exchange in the Fall 2023 semester. 

Thursday 6 July 2023 at 11:00 hours

Open for applications for exchanges in Spring 2024 only (applications for Fall 2023 not accepted).

A recording of the information sessions for students who want to go on exchange in 2023/24 can be found on our Canvas page. The information session guides you through the process of researching destinations and preparing a strong application. We expect that all students attend an information session before scheduling an appointment with a Study Abroad & Exchange Coordinator.

Canvas page

Tilburg University students who are interested in going on exchange are invited to explore the Study Abroad & Exchange Canvas page. Here you can find lots of useful information such as recordings of information fairs and presentations and tips on different topics such as studying abroad with a disability and travelling sustainably during your exchange period. 

Please note that you have to 'enrol' yourself in the Canvas 'course' in order to access the information. 

COVID-19 and exchanges

Exchanges in the current and future academic years are possible in line with the development of the pandemic as well as national, Tilburg University and partner university guidelines.  If needed, students selected for an exchange will be informed of the applicable regulations ahead of their exchange. Students should always be aware of the risk that COVID-19 might affect their exchange plans and plan accordingly.

Brexit and exchanges to the United Kingdom

The UK left the EU on January 1,  2021 and is no longer participating in the Erasmus+ program. Students going on exchange to the UK in 2022-2023 can go on exchange based on extended agreements with Tilburg University's UK partners. However, Erasmus+ grants are no longer available for these students. If students fulfill the scholarship requirements, the Study Abroad Allowance or Holland Scholarship are granted. Students with questions about their exchange to the UK should contact studyabroad@tilburguniversity.edu.
