We can give you more info and help you with your plan of studying abroad

Information and help with your application

Preparing a strong application is the most important step to securing one of your preferred exchange destinations. To help you do this, we have lots of resources available. Find out more about information fairs, useful recordings, and scheduling an appointment with our team on this page.

Study Abroad Fair

We host a Study Abroad Fair every year in autumn, a few weeks before the first application deadline in November. The intention is to orientate yourself regarding the destinations on offer in the following academic year, and to connect with Tilburg University students who went on exchange in the past.

Due to the pandemic, the 2020 and 2021 editions of the Study Abroad Fair took place online. They were recorded so that you can re-visit the information when selecting your exchange destinations. You can find the recordings on our Canvas page

Information Sessions

We host a series of information sessions each year to guide you through the process of selecting your exchange destinations and preparing your application. The sessions are the same, so you only need to attend one.

There is an additional information session for students who are interested in applying for the ISEP program.

You can find the recordings of the information sessions (both the general information session and the ISEP session) and the PowerPoint presentations used on Canvas.

Please ensure you have attended an information session before requesting an individual appointment at the Study Abroad & Exchange Office!

FAQs

Many students applying for an exchange have the same types of questions. In response to this, we created an FAQ sheet. Please check this before contacting us, as many commonly asked questions are answered there.

Scheduling an appointment

After the Study Abroad Fair, students are welcome to schedule a one-to-one appointment with a member of the Study Abroad & Exchange Team. We can help you with:

  • Selecting destinations
  • Answering questions about the application process
  • Answering questions about specific destinations/regions.

Please note that we cannot answer specific questions related to your study plan or course selection. These are better addressed to your Education Coordinator.

We expect all students to have attended an Information Session (or watched the recording on Canvas) before requesting an appointment, as the most commonly asked questions are addressed during the session.

Appointments must be made via our online booking system. Remember to include in your booking request a brief overview of what you want to discuss, and the destinations you are interested in.  You should schedule your appointment with the relevant Coordinator for the region you are interested in. If you are interested in several regions, you are allowed to make appointments with more than one Coordinator. Appointments will take place online via MS Teams.
