Students applying for an exchange
We expect all students to attend the Study Abroad Fair and an information session (or watch the recordings on Canvas) before applying for an exchange, as most commonly asked questions are already answered there.
If you have questions that are not answered via the Fair or the information session, you may contact us via the below methods:
Study Abroad & Exchange Office
How to contact us
There are three main ways to contact our office:
- Office hours: Our office hours take place from 10:00-12:00 hrs every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. You can call us via +31 (0) 13 466 4477, or visit us in-person at the Student Desk (Academia Building). Office hours are intended for students who have been accepted into the exchange program and who have quick questions about their exchange. Students who need a longer or more in-depth advising session must make an appointment instead (see below). If you wish to speak specifically to your own Coordinator, you can find their office hours in the table below.
- E-mail: All types of queries can be sent to studyabroad@tilburguniversity.edu. Our response time is up to 1 week. PDF copies of documents can be sent to us via e-mail, which we can sign digitally.
- Appointment with Study Abroad & Exchange Coordinator: You can schedule a 20 minute appointment with a Coordinator for more in-depth help regarding your exchange, but please do ensure that you have attended/watched an information session first. Appointments take place online via Teams and must be arranged via our online booking system. Please provide as much detail as possible about your request in the booking form, so that your Coordinator can prepare any information you may need. Make sure you book your appointment with the relevant Coordinator for your region, as other Coordinators may not be able to help you.
Emergency contact information
Information about who to contact if you are in an emergency situation whilst on exchange can be found on our home page under the heading 'Abroad and in need of assistance?'.
