Combine a Fall semester exchange at a top Chinese university with obtaining practical in-company experience to extend your Master program at Tilburg University.

Talent Outreach Program Hangzhou-China

The Talent Outreach program brings excellent Tilburg University Master students in contact with multinational businesses and law firms operating in China. Students will combine their exchange at the School of Management of Zhejiang University with an action learning project within a Chinese company. At the host company, a group of 3-6 international students will be assigned a group project. Within 80 days, students are expected to complete the project and solve the problem(s) they have identified. Next to the project, students also follow a minimum of 2 courses at the School of Management of Zhejiang University.

There are 3 Fall semester spots available for students of select Master program's of Tilburg University. Currently, students from the following Master programs can apply:

Interested?

Application requirements

  • Enrollment in one of the eligible Master's program for Fall semester 2024/25. 
    • Note: You will likely need to extend your enrollment at Tilburg University and we advise you to check with your Education Coordinator during the application phase what you have to do to stay enrolled for an extra semester.
  • At least a 7,0 grade average (judicium gemiddelde) at the deadline within your study program (checked in Osiris by us).
  • Non- (mainland) Chinese nationality. This criterium is set by Zhejiang University and will be checked in Osiris by us.
     

Application deadline

  • Monday, April 15, 2024 at 12:00 hours (noon).

Please send the following e-mail to studyabroad@tilburguniversity.edu by the application deadline:

  • Subject Line: Application Fall 2024/25 TOP China Program
  • Attach a recent version of your CV (preferably in English, in pdf format) 
  • State the list of courses you would like to follow from the QTEM course list (see TOP China presentation linked above, completion of min. 2 courses is mandatory)

Selection process

After the application deadline, student applications will be checked (master program, minimum grade average, nationality) to identify all eligible students. The grade average and CV will be consulted to identify excellent students in case we receive more applications than spots available. Selected students will be invited for an (online) interview about their motivation to participate in the TOP China program. The interviews will likely be scheduled on April 17, 2024.
