Social and promotional opportunities
Upon return from your exchange, we are sure you will have many stories to tell and tips to share. We believe it is valuable to share your experiences with like-minded people and strongly suggest you to take part in the following activities.
Destination: Exchange Event
Every semester, the Study Abroad & Exchange Office organizes the Destination: Exchange Event, a useful and festive closing of your exchange period. During a Meet & Greet session, you will get to chat with Tilburg University students who have just been selected to go on exchange in the following academic year. You can share your experiences and tips with them in an informal environment. We know from experience that these students highly appreciate your personal insights and recommendations regarding your exchange destination - just much as you did when you where preparing for your exchange and maybe even when you attended the Meet & Greet yourself.
Promotional Activities
As ambassadors for the exchange program, we will ask you to tell your friends about your exchange experience and get involved in promotional activities to encourage other students to go on an exchange. The Study Abroad Fair at the beginning of the academic year, Bachelor open days, information workshops, pre-departure sessions, presentations, class interviews and handing out flyers on campus are all opportunities for you to share your exchange experiences. If you receive invitations from the Study Abroad & Exchange Team or see a call to volunteer for any of these activities, please feel encouraged to sign up!
ESN Tilburg
ESN Tilburg is a student-led organization that offers support to our international degree and exchange students, helping them to integrate into university life, as well as providing a home for our internationally-minded Tilburg University students like you. If you want to stay active and gain more volunteering experience in an international setting, and find like-minded friends, consider becoming a member of ESN Tilburg. You could even become a mentor to your own group of international exchange students and use your knowledge of studying abroad to help other exchange students find their way in Tilburg and on campus!
