Meeting with Prof. Thom Brooks, Durham Law School: "Brexit: Example of Failing Leadership? An inside view from an outsider”
Leadership is a key skill in our complex society and different issues require different leaderships styles. The Outreaching Honours Program welcomes on 8 November 2019 Prof. Thom Brooks, an eminent academic guest speaker and political commentator who will share perspectives on (failing) Leadership, using the Brexit saga as an example. The discussion will be moderated by our Academic Program Director Prof. Ianika Tzankova.
Prof. Brooks is an American-British political philosopher and legal scholar. He has been professor of Law and Government at Durham University since 2014 and the Dean of Durham Law School since 2016. Prof. Brooks is a member of the British Labour Party and an advisor of Jeremy Corbyn. Brooks writes columns for The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Independent, LabourList, The Times and others often on immigration topics and is a sought after commentator on Brexit-related issues.
