About online proctoring

Online proctoring is a way to remotely monitor the student's behavior and detect irregularities during the course of an exam. The purpose of online proctoring is therefore the same as the purpose of surveillance of an exam that is taken on campus: to detect irregularities and fraud. This guarantees the value of the diploma.

The university policy is that online proctoring can only be used if no alternatives are available that guarantee the value of the diploma. Online proctoring will only be used in knowledge-oriented exams where the examination board believes that use of an online proctoring system is necessary to prevent fraud and identify the student in order to ensure the legitimacy and public value of the diploma.
